DESCRIPTION
Geocoris sp. is a predatory bug used to control thrips, whiteflies, aphids, mealy bugs, caterpillars, pest mites… It also feeds on pollen. Adult Geobug are small, about 3 mm, black, gray with proportionately large eyes. Eggs are deposited singly or in clusters on leaves near potential prey. They develop with incomplete metamorphosis (there is no pupa) and take approximately 30 days to develop from egg to adult depending on temperature.
Mode of action:Predatory bugs search for their prey or wait for it to pass by, then suck it dry.
APPLICATION
Recommended for use in greenhouses or net houses. Should be applied in the early morning or in the late afternoon. Apply to the crops as soon as possible after receipt.
Slightly tap before opening the packaging.
Release equally the predators on the plants.
Release in groups of at least 50 individuals so that predators can easily mate and develop a population.
Apply more in the areas of infested plants.
Leave the packaging near the plants for some days.
DOSAGE
500-1000 bugs/ 1000 m2, release in groups of at least 50 individuals.
STORAGE
Apply to the crops as soon as possible after receipt.
Store in a cool, ventilated room and release within the day.
